Division 2 - Bargod Rangers 2 v 3 Saron 
                
        In a very highly  competitive local derby match Saron started the strongest for the first quarter  of the game and took the lead on about the fifteen minutes mark with a fierce  shot from Danny Williams that was well saved by stand in goalkeeper Mathew Terry  but rebounded back to the feet of Ben Sears who fired the ball in to the roof  of the net. After the goal Bargod seemed to take more control of the game and  about ten minutes before half time a cross from the right by Phil Pocock was  put in by Memo Dag to put the scores level at half time. 
         
        In the second half  Bargod Kept the pressure on Saron who defended very well and half way through  the half a long ball down the left side of the field by Saron saw Ben Sears  chase the ball in to the box and was upended by Kevin Edwards and a  penalty was awarded which Gary Davies slotted away. 
         
        Ten minutes later a  corner by Bargod was headed in superbly by Kevin Edwards to make the score even  again. Five minutes later  Bargod put the ball in the net but was brought back to the edge of the box for  a foul on Dafydd Rees the Saron goalkeeper. 
         
        With ten minutes left on  the clock there was a cross from Gary Davies to the far left post which was  headed back across the goal by Danny Williams for the substitute Rhys Evans to  fire in to the empty net. 
         
        For the final ten  minutes Bargod kept the pressure on and came close on a few occasions but Saron  held on for the win.  |
